Weak, but Still Interesting

What I didn't like about this animation was that so much of the runtime was spent on still angles, or something equally devoid of action. The animation was very short and there was little focus on the smaller tentacle creatures... Or even the larger one... Hell, there was very little combat in the entire thing! And even when there were shots with fighting in it, I felt they were so zoomed in it was difficult to see what was going on.

Sorry, can't give more than a 7 on this one.

Wow!

I'm not quite sure what I just watched. Graphics are VERY well done, the song isn't my type but still damn good. 3D animation?! Oscar I didn't know you did that! Also very nice lighting and 2D effects as well as 3D. Not very much of a point to it, but still a very nice display of talent.

Nicely Done

I really like what you've done here. The graphics and FBF animation are by far the high point; the graphics have a very distinctive style to them, and have intense detail. The FBF animation for things like the string weapons and beams of light had decent easing, although too smooth and the animation would have lagged a bit. I will say that the animation you didn't that wasn't FBF could have been a bit better... As a whole, the animation didn't have that hypnotic look like a really smooth animation has. This is something I have yet to see in an animation that is not FBF, however. The fighting style itself wasn't exactly my style... Not too many characters dodged any blows or shots, and combos were generally very short. I'm really into hand-to-hand combat, and I'd personally say I'd have preferred lots of smooth choreography and martial arts thrown in, but I guess you can't have everything.

The sound quality, music selection, and voice acting were really superb, and I'm especially appreciative that the female voice actress didn't sound horribly feminine.

The story... Well, I couldn't tell what the hell was going on in it. Although the voice acting and dialogue was fine, it seemed like you tried to add a layer of complexity to the animation through storyline, but it wasn't executed very well. All in all the dialogue had me rolling my eyes at points, and the plot did not impress me at all.

I can see you put lots of time into this, and I think it turned out really well. It's also really, really long which is definitely a plus.

Cool!

Very well done, and it wasn't until I saw a faint trace of the last frame that I realized you were doing this by erasing bits and redrawing them. Overall the animation is very well done, but you could have added sound effects, voice acting, a story, and maybe a bit more length.

Nice Job

The graphics could really use a redo. The author of Deux Ex Machina has his own style, Adam Phillips has his own style, Brad Borne has his own style... And you have your own as well, but you've worn it out quite a bit. With most great artists you can see the art progress through each episode. While you used to make each animation better and better, I get the feeling you've reached a certain plateau and it's time for you to move on. Mix up your style just a little bit and maybe give the characters longer limbs.

That aside, the animation is very good and the blender idea was rather colorful and unexpected. The blood is animated very well also, and the movements were realistic. The gag you put in at the end was so bad that you actually had to laugh at it.

Overall, I really appreciate the effort you've put into making this, but it was both old and samey.

'old and samey'

That's me, guy. Solid like a rock.

Lol

This short Flash film is over 5 years old, yet the humor in it still makes it valuable. The graphic style is very distinctive while also making all of the X-Men characters easily recognizable. The animation is decent, not overcomplex, and to the point, though some may say it was bad. The voice acting was bad in a good kind of way, which enhanced the humor, and the concept was great and funnier than a lot of the new stuff we get on Newgrounds, admittedly.

Somewhat Obnoxious

The animation is done VERY well, although maybe some cool liquid effects could have been put in when the extra whateverthefuckthatwas came out of his back. Something like that is always a great opportunity to put some crazy FBF action to impress the crowd.

Being an RHG fighter myself, I understand the importance of a demo showing people what exactly your character's power is. In this example, however... I wasn't quite sure what was going on? Is this like Insanity's character? Or is there only one limb? Does this limb stretch indefinitely? Come on man, give me some more to go by! I can spend two months working on a game, so you can spend two months working on an animation. This is great as a product of four days of work, but it really needs to be longer.

I loved the sound effects, but while the song was good, I didn't like that you did absolutely NOTHING to compress it. Next time either stream it, compress it, or both in order to reduce the filesize of your submission. Right now it's really unnecessary. Maybe you could have loaded it externally as well...?

All in all, the animation quality is very high, but the presentation is lacking.
