Huh, I'm the first person to review this in nearly a decade...

Well, you have a decent concept. I can't remember what the submission was called, but not very long ago there was an animation about almost this exact thing, though ice-licking was one of the events. Being made in 2002, it's obvious this is going to be primitive, and it's pretty impressive that you have voice acting on such an old submission. Still, this Flash doesn't ever really approach being funny... Still, this is fairly impressive considering when it was made.

Wow, if nothing else this Flash has magnitude. Nearly half an hour of solid animation, plus you did a lot of voice work yourself. I don't know what all to say about this - most of the drawings are horribly simplistic, and while some objects are elegantly simplistic, others are not. For a few shots you pay exquisite attention to detail, and yet other times you don't. This is so oddly inconsistent I really don't know what to review.

On the issue of the story, I really can't say I enjoyed it at all - watching seemed mostly like a waste of time. Your rap battles tend to be a lot more animated and immediately interesting, whereas this took a very long time to say very little. I'd have to say my favorite part of the animation was the stories at the end, except even then I didn't really like it that much - more like it just held my interest.

There's a definite style here, but you need to take advantage of it and make it work better for you. Part of this comes from how little music there is in this - adjusting the animation to how silent and devoid of energy this animation is would be critical to improving it. The mumbled voices and faded colors made me think of Napoleon Dynamite, only you try too hard to incorporate a narrative and it takes away from the final product.

I liked the animation but felt that there was a lot missing. To me it was very abstract and that took away from what this could have been. Little gimmicks like the flower blooming and wings flapping were cool and made it different, but I'd have liked to see more creative movements and possibly different objects interacting with each other. What you have here is very pretty but could have easily just been a screensaver, or if it had been five seconds it might have been mistaken for an intro cinematic. Fantastic work but there's no message here.

Really surprised that the music was VNV Nation, the only song I'd heard from them before was Further.

What the hell just happened...? You've got a nice background and characters but no animation or even content to speak of! Just 40 seconds of useless promotion babble! This looks like a freaking visual novel! I know absolutely nothing about these characters, about your website, or about what LadyStar even is!

True, I didn't watch episode 1 or 2 but I don't think I want to after this. No exposition could magically make this video more understandable, because nothing of interest was said to begin with.

I really like your graphic style, audio, and really everything about this animation but I feel like it just dragged on for too damn long. Your plot isn't especially funny, and it's rather slow paced without even passing the time with gags. The only real humor in this is derived from the natural goofiness of the characters, but the situations don't exacerbate the humorous elements enough to make it entertaining.

So this is Pigpen. Jesus, no wonder people hate you. Really, it's not long enough the animation is mediocre, and it's only vaguely funny mainly because it lacks buildup. Come on, what is this, Vine?

LazyMuffin is pretty lazy, huh?

You've got a thoroughly entertaining concept. Rather than speaking through the persona of a young boy, you could have easily used a much more articulate character to make a much longer and more detailed animation about this exact same thing. Given all of the negative feedback surrounding the XBox One, you could have really torn it a new asshole but you didn't. Come on, what were you thinking?

Too short, your execution falls flat, and there's hardly any content to review. Decent graphics don't save this one.

LazyMuffin responds:

I could have done that, but that would have been a different animation. This wasn't a genuine review. It's a kid who wants to review stuff but he only has access to one of the consoles.

Although an animation of an articulate character criticizing consoles does sound pretty funny!!!!

thank you!!

Dull. The Evony and Wartune ads have really been getting on my nerves and I figured this would be funny but it really isn't. Your voice is too self-conscious, your style of humor lacks cleverness and subtlety, and the art doesn't redeem it.

I saw a really funny Let's Play on YouTube filming someone's Evony experience from ads to gameplay and it was a lot funnier, mainly because it came from the player's perspective. This animation suffers greatly due to the player having a completely silent role.

Once upon a time, water taught itself how to feel pain.
