What is there to say about this...? I think we need a tvJohnny vs Smorg. Scuare's second verse impressed me, kind of hard to respond to a verse when it's total bullshit.

You're definitely one of the best metal artists on this site. Nice clear sound and a wonderful energy. Haven't heard the original theme for Lavos so I can't really draw a comparison but this sounds really incredible.

Thanks! Give the game Chrono Trigger a chance if you'd like a bit more context... :3

Tight!! There's a very authentic Meshuggah vibe going on here and I really don't know what else to say except that this sounds amazing.

Awesome battle but after a few listens it seems pretty clear Gasmasq wins. His punches hit much, MUCH harder whereas Senator just seems to use the same boring disses on every battle.

Fun beat and fun track, your voice is always nice to listen to. Your rhymes were decent but you never flipped anything jaw-dropping. In particular the bars about legends and myths got a little long-winded and tedious.

Still, you're one of my favorite MCs on the site.

JakobePaulobe responds:

Thanks for the feedback! The main focus of this track was to work on my flow and delivery, lyrics being a secondary concern. I agree with the legends/myths part being a bit redundant, that's just lazy writing on my part, but it was like around 3 a.m. when I wrote it and I just wanted to get something done and released before I passed out.

I appreciate the comment, there will be more to come soon. Possibly even a mixtape in the next 2-3 months

Enjoyable... I like the sound of this but there are so many things wrong with it. Very repetitive, shitty drum machine (a clap sound effect?) and overall not a whole lot of content. I'm really not a fan of how this sounds more like a mix than an actual song. Just a bunch of loops squished together? Come on, there's gotta be a better alternative.

Vortex00 responds:

lol'ed on shitty drum machine. I guess it sounded ok to me because I was the on that made it. Kind of a like a mother liking her ugly ass baby. It wasn't meant to be a full song, just background music for a menu screen on a old game I was working on. Yeah a bunch of loops, I made a few things in FL studio with the individual notes and vst stuff, one on which I uploaded here, but overall I but didn't have the will to continue it since it is more of a time consuming process to do that. I wanted to focus my time on making the game itself, yet still have my own music so I would not have to worry about royalties or anyone's copyright.

I was looking for a track at 65 BPM for a little rap 'experiment'. Glad I found this, even though it's 64 BPM, will work perfectly.

Very chill beat, love the 'wa-wa-wa-wa' effect, makes everything so cool and relaxed.

Awesome battle, Pigpen owns with the entertainment value and Blest has some damn good punches too. I'd have to give it to Pig but both did a great job.

Pigpen doesn't sound great on this beat though, sounds too silent with his relaxed flow and a quiet beat too.

Suddle for sure, not as clear as he could be but has great presence and lyrics. Kind of surprised that Smorg's verse was actually decent (comparatively) though by no means good. I'm thinking maybe he just threw the battle with Gasmasq for publicity.

8/10 since the battle is incomplete.

Can't believe I haven't reviewed this yet, it's fucking hilarious. Not only is Smorg awful (and proud of it), but Gas gets way into it in the second verse. I really have no words for this.
