Senator's first verse was actually pretty good - he doesn't have much dirt on Scuare but still makes a lot of personals even though they're not as hard-hitting as they could be. Obviously he has a disadvantage from going first. The Atmosphere line is decent but KillBill played it better in the last battle. The Obama line isn't bad but you really set yourself up for Scuare's flip. How did you not see that coming?

Scuare's first verse has a lot of venom in it - not sure if these two really have beef but he flips a lot and his personals are downright cruel, whereas Senator's personals were relevant at best. A little weird how Senator ends his verse saying obvious TWICE and Scuare opens by saying it two MORE times. Given Senator's tendency to contradict himself, the 'your flow's shortsighted' line is incredibly strong - he's flipping a line that Senator hasn't even delivered yet! Worse, Senator goes right ahead and walks right into it. Ouch.

Senator's second verse is the weakest in the whole battle. He gets in a few mediocre flips and has a lot of filler. Honestly I feel like he buried himself with this verse. Kind of disappointing since his first verse shows he could really come a lot harder.

Scuare's second... Holy shit. Flips and personals galore, a smooth flow from one subject into another, and no filler. The "no, I dissed you 'cause you suck at it" line is easily the best flip in the song. I don't have much to say about this, Scuare killed it.

I can definitely tell that the are parts of improvisation stuck together. With all of the drums and bass it still sounds like one big solo. I really did like this but ti seems like there are parts that just kind of fall into a leisurely 'chugging along'.

Burn7 responds:

Heh, yeah. There are definitely a lot of bits that I would rewrite or "punch-up" to make this less, 'chuggy'? Now that I'm thinking about it, there's a lot I would change. I'd actually put a piano in there for fucking starters >_>

I'm glad you enjoyed what you heard overall at least man, thanks for stopping by!

GREAT battle. Glitch put up a hell of a fight - he did a decent job against Q-Sik but he really brings it here. Nice personals hitting his flow and lack of exposure in round 1, especially considering nobody really knew who MadFlex was when this came out. MadFlex had some good punches but could have definitely gotten more personal than attacking Glitch's appearance and name - and Glitch definitely takes up the slack in his next verse with his flips.

Unfortunately for Glitch, MadFlex mops him up in his final verse. He does fall off beat a little bit just after the 'fuck your -' lines and there's a slight clipping issue there that kind of makes me cringe since he didn't do it in one take. That doesn't matter too much though - his delivery on 'you're the asshole that I'm talking to' made me laugh just from how casually he said it but the real coup de grace is the Q-Sik/PiGPEN/Nimbus finisher.

Kind of funny how much better the battles (and MCs) have gotten on Newgrounds these past few years. I'm definitely going to have to give this one to Cynic. The 'abilities/kill mcs/ill as me/willingly' multi was pretty clever and referencing 8track and Murdaa was a pretty nice flip too.

Exceptid's finisher was pretty dope but I don't see how he won this.

Really great battle, I've listened to this more times than I can count. I can definitely agree with other reviewers that Teqneek's flow pauses too much and then starts up suddenly again - it's almost like his flow is limping.

The first two verses are strong but the last two is where PiGPEN takes the lead. PiGPEN opens with a little more filler than I'd like but after that it's just flip after flip and it really shows that he's paying attention. Teqneek's last verse just gets way too repetitive with the low energy disses. Umbrella, Xanax, slow-mo flow, alright we GET it already.

Very enjoyable but goddamn that beat was loud, I could barely hear the rappers. Tone it down, sheesh.

Wow, I never really liked Byron was that great but he came harder than ever this battle (at least in his second verse). Unfortunately Scuare just has him beat, especially with his personals in the second verse.

Holy shit guys. Awesome battle! Going to give it to MadFlex for his crazy flow and flips.

Cynic's "Stick to Flash, dude / Wait I'm better at that too" line had me laughing. Only on Newgrounds...

Interesting, Jakobe and SJD both sound a lot different in this one, what the heck happened to their voices? Both of them did a great job, though SJD's last verse was the coup de grace for this battle. Up until that point it was pretty much a tie game.
