I haven't reviewed this yet?

MadFlex V1 - Flow sounds slightly awkward with such a fast beat. "Jay's recording me" is heavy as hell. Animal Crackers diss, okay. Overall strong rhymes but doesn't feel very aggressive.

Maelstrom V1 - Great opener. Name diss is nice. Radio flip is nice. California diss is solid. Seniority flip is somewhat basic but relevant, good finisher.

MadFlex V2 - Starts the verse perfectly, Cynic and ding dong rebuttals are great. Hard to listen to is nice.

Maelstrom V2 - Going public is nice to double down. Disney flip is okay. A bit of filler and a nice closer. Mixing sounds bad with the doubles and flow is somewhat off.

Not Flex's best battle, although he still came hard as expected. This feels very close and evenly matched, moreso than the first few times I listened to this. Maelstrom's first verse was extremely strong, his second not so much. Flex was more consistent but overall didn't have the kind of power I'm used to hearing from him. I really wanted to vote for Maelstrom because of his charisma and how close he fared against the champ, but I would still have to give it to Flex by a nose for stronger rhymes although he had a few overused rhymes as well (surgically, really?)

Nice man. Sounds just a little too dark intense to play in a club, like a cobra about to strike.

A little simplistic and more pop than I usually like, but this is super chill and ambient. I freestyled to it a little bit.

SRT-M1tch responds:

Thanks! I did go for that simplistic feel to keep it really relaxed. Ya know, nothing too exciting happening, so it's more of ambient background stuff with trap influenced drums than anything in my opinion. Thanks for the review and glad you had a little fun with it.

Sounds quite a bit like folk metal, with the synth sounding almost like bagpipes in a way. I like the intensity but it ends very abruptly.

thebitterroost responds:

Yeah, it's been sittin' that way for some time now. I'll finish it someday (I hope).

First off holy shit, this beat is tiiiight.

Eq - Name disses are way overdone. Never got best bars in the bracket and accent disses don't hit that hard. Tight flow and aggressive delivery.

Braidz - Syllable count is a little awkward at times. Couldn't understand a lot of the lines, partially from the mixing and partially from the lisping. I've heard three Australians on this site that enunciate better so I don't feel bad admitting it. Ragged a little heavy on the poor disses.

Eq - Called out Braidz on poorer recording quality. Nice family tree flip. More name disses, yay.

Braidz - Madchild diss works. Another diss on the poor line is alright, forced voice is a good take but not really delivered right.

Neither really attacked as hard as they could have but Eq had far stronger delivery.

Damn, this is tough as hell to judge. Byron's flow is way stronger than normal in this battle, though his bars are quite simple and somewhat off-topic especially in his second verse. Fats comes through with stronger lyrics but flow falls off just a tiny bit in the second verse. After several listens I would have to give this to Byron for more consistency between both verses. Fats edged round one, Byron took round two by a bigger margin.

Frontpaged and 162 plays? Damn it what's wrong with this world? This feels like King Crimson mixed with Planet X. Overall great, polished and complex.

Kor-Rune responds:

Thanks man! I hope to see King Crimson one day, or at least Adrian Belew/Fripp haha

Must check out planet X, thanks a lot!

Here we go! This is hot as hell. Simple and straightforward but the scratching is just divine. Not much more to add to this, you pulled this shit off perfect.

Libby-Shimmz responds:

Thanks Kwing!

Fuck, you both came with mad flow. Gabb sounds like a British Apani Fly which is awesome. Rhyme schemes could have used a little tightening but for her first time this is positively mind-blowing. Overall strong tracks and nice bars too.

Nice beat. Feels very relaxing, but with a few gangsta rap type samples thrown in for good measure. Seems a little flat when the entire track is taken into perspective though, this would definitely sound better with some spitting over it.
