This was always one of my favorite skits by you. It has that old late 90s/early 2000s vibe to it, a cute little jingle, and a healthy dose of that slightly uncomfortable weirdness that you incorporate into all of your animations.

OMG this is killing me!! Kalestorm, Suicidal Turnipseeds, Greens of the Stone Age. Holy shit man, you took this to a whole other level. Ever since your animation with the old man I've had an eye on you and you really blew my mind with this one. The pun that this animation is based on is really simple and there are a lot of ways you could have fucked this up but you came through with consistent cleverness. The end result is that the script falls in perfect striking range for truly GREAT humor, and you mixed it in with your already excellent animating skills. Entire groups of people work together and usually fall short of producing this level of quality. Excellent job.

Really great for a 2004 animation. The gradients are a little much but they're tasteful and overall this looks very colorful and attractive, with the animation being quite smooth as well. The low-quality sound is really the only giveaway that this is over a decade old.

The biggest problem with it is the inconsistent sizing. The dragon picks up the apple, which is proportional to the ant, yet when you see the dragon beside the tree, he's the same size as the tree yet the apple fills his mouth almost completely. He sets the apple down and all of a sudden it's normal size again. Lolwat.

Hot damn, I saw this on your website a long ass time ago. There's no way this is worth 4 stars but the nostalgia is just too damn strong. I love the immediately recognizable Counter Strike vox. Choppy and corny and worth every second of it.

EggysGames responds:

Definitely not worth a 4 star these days definitely but good nostaglia :D

Gosh. If I'd known there would have been so many amateur animators in this I probably would have joined in myself. Nevertheless this was a pretty good collab. There were some good submissions and some not-so-good submissions, but they were all so short and many went on simultaneously so it ended up working out really well, since none of the animations really left me on a sour note.

At a few times I felt like the sheep were going by a little fast, and that some of the more talented animators had been grouped together, which left the animation a little wanting when the newbies came in. It would also have been nice to see the animators' names during each section, rather than at the end. Last but not least, and what I think this collab really should have, is a Flash version that plays the animations in a random order on loop.

Anyway, nice effort, fun collab. Kind of funny how much trouble went into something that lasted five minutes.

Lalo responds:

Indeed. It was a tough choice to make it a movie instead of interactive. but it's more digestible this way. The editing was tricky, but I think it got to a good point, and the fast sheep kind of encourages people to go back and watch for missed details!

Whoa. This was really hilarious, although I have to give most of the credit to the song for being so frantic and scattered - the animation fits PERFECTLY. The frame by frame animation is smooth and goes by incredibly fast, which just makes everything totally crazy and makes the funny moments funnier.

Damn, you pulled this off real nice. The graphical quality is astounding - far beyond a lot of anime that's published under big companies, though the animation was a little less consistent (this is fairly common for this style of animation, though.)

The facial expressions and music were obnoxiously cliche, too. I understand that was most likely what you were going for, as is the case for animations like Chuck's New Tux, but it really was over the top and just cringy. Believe it or not, I was rooting for the girl to die from the moment Cupid appeared. By the time I saw the steel tips of the arrows I could already tell something was a little off.

If you were just going for something totally absurdist, it might have been kind of funny to have the girl puking up blood and just cranking up the gore factor in general. The animation already relies on over-the-top cinematics to enforce the cliche, so you might as well have taken it a notch further.

bocodamondo responds:

thanks i appreciate it but im not funny or creative enough to take a huge risk and play with expectations like harry, oney and all the other great animators...if i try to do it i will most likely create another cringeworthy garbage like my dora vs swiper video, urgh....

This might have been funnier if I'd heard the wyvern's last line, but all I heard was "Gentle Joe, bitch."

Very well-drawn, but a little too short. Melting animation was highly impressive.

Zero-End responds:

"Deviljho, bitch." Is what he said. So you probably wouldn't have found it any funnier. Thanks for the review and glad you liked the melting animation!

Good job. Well-drawn and colorful. I really, really liked how the sky was the inside of the jelly bean bag. The voice acting was amusing, and actually reminded me a lot of Moovlin PC. It did seem to get a little preachy toward the end, but showing subtitles for individual words was amusing, even if it's just one of those things that's going to be popular between 2013 and 2015.

Nice job, kept me interested.

saucybird responds:

thank you! ^o^ really the part I was most worried about was people understanding that they're inside of a jelly bean bag LOL

Cute and well-done. Some parts felt very cliche - in fact most of it was cliche - but it was drawn and animated very well. I thought it was a bit strange that most of the animation was done with no voice acting, yet midway through the animation there were a few lines of dialogue. Regardless, it kept its simple tone and was consistent and entertaining to the end. I was half-expecting the twist but still found it funny.

The one thing I would ask is that for a four-minute animation, there would be more humor than the one non-sequitur at the end.

Once upon a time, water taught itself how to feel pain.
