[Graveyard Mansion]

Boring

Too slow, and it sounds too synthesized to really be scary. Also, a bit of psychology: Fear is mostly a product of incomprehension. Making an unpredictable song amplifies the effect. But this song is -so- repetitive it's hard to get scared from listening.

" Graveyard Mansion " is not supposed to be unpredictable, but suspensfull background music.

Try playing it it the background while playing a scary game or watching a scary scene in a scary movie while the tv is on mute. Then you will truly see the aspect of the song and the purpose.

The instrumentals were extremely repetitive and the vocal style wasn't particularly talented, but it could have been a lot worse.

Wow... That may be the funniest song I've heard in a VERY long time. I also really like the beat and your voice... You sound like a real professional! Lyrical content is humorously distasteful... A very high-quality song.

The riffs are nice, but it sounds like you could use more symbols. The vocal content is obviously the center of the song, and I must say it's rather interesting. And in a way, it really speaks to me.

Really Good

It seemed to be missing a few things though... Solos and more variation primarily. A higher contrast between the guitar and bass would have been really nice. I like the heaviness you have going here, though. It just sounds kind of generic.

I hear ya. Thanks for the review and just so you know, I'm working on improving variation. I agree that the general beat can become overbearing at times. Also the drums are definitely lacking in this piece because I got real impatient.

This grew on me the more I listened. Actually it sounded kind of like dubstep. But despite all of the cool bit scraping and such, the sound was pretty generic...

I Like!

The bass and guitar really meld together nicely, and the drums are good, but every drumbeat sounds the same. You should remove them and cover over it with real, recorded drums.

Glad you liked it! Although I don't demand drums to always do different stuff all the time in tunes. I guess you don't like AC DC? Also.. some bands like to keep the same rythm guitars throughout tunes as well.. to keep a unity going like Rammstein. I think anything can work well if done right. Thanks for listening!

... Wow...

I was having a pretty bad day but this certainly helped. Not exactly the kind of humor I can show to family though. Audio quality deteriorated at some of the loudest parts, though, and the instrumentals were rather repetitive. The entertainment value makes up for it though, not to mention how much effort you put into making something so... Dumb. :|

Yeah, keep this shit away from the younger ones! I didn't use a noise gate on the mic so when it gets loud everything sounds shit. I'll remember that next time.

Nice :D

Fast and fun, and it sounds like there are a lot of layers too. The song also progresses, so it doesn't get obnoxiously old. I like that; sometimes I feel like a song is wasting my time if it's too repetitive.
