Lots of raw intensity and suspense here, with the track being all around pretty heavy. This would make an insane battle beat. This sound REALLY nice.

HeIsAlive responds:

Yeah man, I agree. Its aggressive. Thanks bud.

A couple of the notes don't really blend together harmoniously but for the most part this is sounds really good. Feels like the perfect beat for a story.

HeIsAlive responds:

Yeah, making this beat was tough. I was going for a post WW2 vibe, with the tone that is suppose to mimic terror and uncertainty.

This beat kicks ass! I'm really digging the strings here (cello?) although it could have been a little more dominant amongst all the other sounds. Great freestyle material right here.

HeIsAlive responds:

Thanks man. I sampled it from tracks off of the movie Raw Head Rex. The picture is Raw Head Rex actually, lol.

I'm really liking all the ambiance here! The arrangement sounds really full and complex without anything feeling awkward. Hot beat.

HeIsAlive responds:

Thanks bro. Always appreciate your feedback.

Whew, this is really gloomy! The mood and feel is really on point but it seems a little too simple to me. Some scratching would have made this a bit more pleasant to listen to.

HeIsAlive responds:

Thanks man. Yeah, it was meant to be simple, something to just kick back and listen to in the background. I sometimes listen to it while Im cleaning or playing a casual game, lol. I like to make simple beats just as much as I like making more complex ones. I just like to change it up sometimes, you know?

For some reason this reminds me of William and Sly, despite insane lag preventing me from ever finishing the game. The background ambiance makes this sound extremely cold, with the piano having kind of a snowy feel to it. Really nice work.

larrynachos responds:

Thanks! I'm glad you liked it :)

Ough, my brain is breaking. Can't tell if off-beat or polyrhythm. I like the prog rock going on here though. Doesn't sound very Christmas-y other than a Charlie Brown-type intro. While this is totally my style of music I'm docking a point due to some inconsistencies. What starts off feeling like jazz gets almost angry and aggressive by the end. In four minutes you went from Quincy Jones to Meshuggah, what's up with that?

frootza responds:

Thanks. Secret. Haha, I'll explain in a PM.

Sounds halfway between Afterbirth and Silent Hill. I really like the grit and intensity here. Awesome work man.

Libby-Shimmz responds:

I see how you can hear the similarities to Silent Hill (Akira Yamaoka is one of my many influences,) but I haven't scoured and listened to the BoI: Afterbirth OST in its entirety so I'll have to check it out.

Thanks for the review Kwing.

Nice and chill, reminds me a lot of Nujabes. Kind of interesting because you make a lot of horrorcore type beats but you got the mood of this one perfect.

HeIsAlive responds:

Thanks man. Yeah, I was trying something a bit different. I get bored just doing eerie, abstract, and horror instrumentals all the time, even though I love it.

A little simplistic and more pop than I usually like, but this is super chill and ambient. I freestyled to it a little bit.

SRT-M1tch responds:

Thanks! I did go for that simplistic feel to keep it really relaxed. Ya know, nothing too exciting happening, so it's more of ambient background stuff with trap influenced drums than anything in my opinion. Thanks for the review and glad you had a little fun with it.
