Some Problems

I'm not in one of those fluid writing moods right now, so I'll just list the things I liked and didn't like in pros and cons:
+ The body proportions weren't perfect, but still looked good
+ The hands look absolutely gorgeous!!
+ The lighting and placement have perfect aesthetics, and the presentation looks spot-on
+ The colors are mostly chosen well and look good together
- Saeko's right breast sticks out too much for the angle she's standing at
- Certain fills such as the sword and hair, only had two colors but should have had a third, brighter color used more sparingly to bring out the lighting and dimensions
- Something about the face seems inauthentic, almost like the art style of some Cartoon Network shows rather than anime. I get that you have your own style, but that's definitely not a Saeko-esque expression. Especially given that she's smiling.

Is It Cute or Terrifying?

Great job, it looks wonderful! My only criticism is that everything looks a little too bright. Everything from the blood to the clothing to the background to the lighting should be a bit more macabre.

Holy Hell!

The detail is absolutely exquisite. The shadowing and feathers are all done perfectly and this could practically pose as real if there were a background!! My only complaint is that the area with the beak looks kind of flat and not deep Z-wise at all, due to a lack of shading and the shape itself.

Zeppelyn responds:

Thanks. :) I agree, but I was heavily referencing a photo and the lighting in the photo had the beak almost one shade.

Tape is Mediocre

The head is great, but everything below is riddled with unfortunate errors, the first of these being that the tape doesn't overlap at all, with the edges lined up perfectly. It looks unnatural. Also, the tape fails to contour to the girl's shape. Even if it did, though, one breast is strangely angled and hangs suspiciously low. Last, the skirt looks very straight and almost starched. That being said, when I take a step back and look at the full picture, I find it quite pleasing to look at :)

Love the Lighting

Looks like it was done in Photoshop... Very nice work! One thing I will say is that while the bell is mostly shaded nicely, the grains sticking out on it look to be the same brightness even in the shadows. At least, more similar than they should be. And the creases in the creature's clothing are a little extreme. Other than that this is really amazing.

Tim Burton + Osmosis Jones + SATAAAAN

WOW!! What a piece!! The proportions and bent torso are very interesting and stylized, yet the surrealism doesn't look cartoony at all. The hair looks absolutely sublime, and even without animation I can perfectly visualize his cape fluttering behind him violently. This is an incredibly cool piece, made even cooler by the intense colors.

Cute

I love the pose and the bloom is an interesting element as well. Great job, looks really professional!

Thanks!

Wow!

I love the muscle lines... Perfectly placed, as is every little scratch and mark on him. I can't fully appreciate it though without a nice background. Add one! >:C

Coolest Rule 63 Ever!!

Wow, what a piece! Great lighting, interesting style, very nice color scheme! I think the head itself looks strangely soft, but other than that I really cannot complain at all.

Nice!!

Beautiful abstract piece! This would make an excellent background / theme / etc. If only it looped!
