I really like the surreal style here. The faces are detailed but absurd. Certain oversights like the girl's face on the far right are immediately balanced out by fine details (look at the fabric of her dress, really tight linework!) and the overall complexity adds a sense of mayhem to the picture.

This should be touched up digitally and made more high contrast.

Whoa, this looks like something that should be stuck on a skateboard. I really like the vibrant colors, reminds me a lot of urban art and graffiti. The shark fins look very realistic, and the mouth is wonderfully surreal. Guy getting eaten lacks a bit of clarity but blends in with the art style really well. The blood splotches add a layer of polish to it.

The guy's pants could probably use a tiny hint of lighting and the shark's tail fin would look nice if it were faded out a little to illustrate it was further off in the distance, otherwise there are no flaws. I would like to see a background for this too.

Holy shit. What a painting. I really love the color scheme here, the sunset makes for such an interesting piece. The landscape is absolutely breathtaking and it's really captivating seeing the two people in the boat. A few things look a little odd - a few brushstrokes that look hasty as well as the way the model on the right is holding the oar (?). Otherwise this is damn near perfect.

Thanks a lot :) REally appreaciate your feedback ! Indeed I tend to rush brushstrokes when I lose my patience, thats tricky to correct later as I usually work on few layers.

Really good, I've looked back and forth between the logo and this set and the similarity is immediately recognizable. What's also cool is that a few intentional differences ultimately make it look better. For instance, the treads are black instead of white, and there are also studs you added to blank looking areas.

The one thing I'd take away is that there are better helmets to put on the minifigures - I'm pretty sure there's a black helmet and a white visor that would look almost identical. There's probably a Star Wars visor that even has the same shape.

Anyway this really looks great and I'd totally buy a set for this. At the very least I really want to see a video of you building this. Or you could record yourself taking it apart and play the video backwards.

Laureallis responds:

Thanks a bunch! Maybe during spring break next week I'll have to record me building. Also I wanted to use white Star Wars rebel Hoth goggles but I don't have any sadly.

Uh, wow. This is fucking funny. If someone in my generation had done that, they'd have been on drugs within a week. Very solid drawing for a 6 year old, nice handwriting too. The story is... Not what I'd expect from a toddler.

I'm really not sure if I could give tips on improvement seeing as this is older than I am.

Whoa. For an image this detailed, I would have wanted an image I could zoom in on more (unusual; usually large canvas sizes annoy me) but the thing is I really can't see any faults here. The color scheme is striking and the effects such as the fire and lava are vivid and crisp. everything on the dragon from the wings to the scales to the head are surreal.

The one thing I might change is perhaps darkening the sky a little bit, since I wish the dragon stuck out more in comparison to the background. This is important given that they both use the same color scheme. The dragon's right front limb also seems a little faded - I feel like I can't see exactly what's going on there. The overall image is still incredible though.

Nice. I really like the cartoony style you used, not just for the faces but for the entire environment. This looks like it could have originally been a short animation. The grainy effect makes everything look just a little bit more subdued, which works since it's at nighttime and makes everything just a little more realistic. Certain inconsistencies such as the finger or the cop's arm do take away from it but overall I really do like it. It's also cool that you added glasses to Benjamin Franklin - nice job.

Something that bothered me that goes beyond the basic mistakes and oversights is that the green colors are almost glowing. Hell, the bottom panel looks like I'm getting a codec call from Benjamin Franklin. You really could have toned it down to make it look more fitting. The lines that appear on the bill also should have been subdued a bit, because they really dominate the picture otherwise, more than an actual dollar bill does.

One last thing I'd like to say is that while there are some mistakes, there are some really great things that you went out of your way to add. The first that jumps out at me is the siren light on the second panel. The cop car is not even shown in any of the panels, yet you did a great job of implying details just by glow and shadow.

ToonHole responds:

Thanks for such a well thought out response. I think you have a lot of great points here. I'm looking forward to thinking about this feedback in future comics. Thanks so much Kwing!

Holy shit. This is dark, twisted, and upon closer inspection, done incredibly well. The 'droopy' art style always freaked the hell out of me and I'd seen it a lot in kid's books but you made this wonderfully morbid. Everything from the ribs up on the guy on the right look incredible. The rest is pretty good, too.

Very simple piece but very well done! Angle and color go very well together.

Surfsideaaron responds:

thanks

Looks like a cross between Gretel and Hansel and Silent Hill. This is freaking awesome! I like the slight sepia theme and dress - kind of gives this a vintage look but the mouths look like something out of a Dr. Seuss book. You've got an awesome spread of styles going on here and this should totally be concept art for a horror game.
