Grr

The beginning uses too much distortion. I like distortion, but that was too much.

You're right about it being repetitive, but if used in a video game, it would actually work alright. The melody reminded me of Pay For It by Mindless Self Indulgence.

The biggest problem is that for all of its repetitions, it doesn't loop. Something that repetitive should be able to, since its only real usage would be in a video game.

Sucks

It loops like shit, it's way too simple, awfully repetitive, you get the idea. C'mon man.

\m/ Nice

I really liked this. The speed is a bit faster, but I got used to it and maybe enjoyed it a little more. Unfortunately the quality seems a little bad, like it's underwater, but I love how some of the instruments are brought out a bit more near the middle of it. While I usually don't like growling voices, I still liked the vocals in here better than in FFX. All in all, a bit of an improvement from the original, but the quality problem really needs to change.

Coolio

Really distorted. I'm fine with distortion, but this was a little excessive. I felt like clearing my throat for some reason. Also, aside from the distortion, not too much was changed from the original, so it got boring kind of quick.

Sick as Hell!!

I can't really describe the music, since it's just Otherworld... But it's pretty cool hearing it in 8-bit. It works pretty well, too! If someone wanted to squash FFX back down to the '80s or something, this is the song they'd use for it!

This is Good

Near the end the repetition and screams got irritating. The rest of it was good, though. The random tag at the very end was kind of unrelated, too.

Orangepot responds:

Yeah, I probably should have those screams shorter, I only put them in to give my song a reason for being called what it is. But thanks anyway!

OMFG

I loved all of it. The drums, instrumentals, solos, it was all great! Too often I find myself looking for heavy metal and what I find is some horrible screamo... But this was what I was looking for.

It was a little strange hearing a couple spots of synth thrown into the whole thing, but other than that it was pretty epic.

Jakisdead responds:

Thank-you, I'm glad you enjoyed it!

Yeah this is an old song of mine which I recently re-recorded. I used to experiment with trance/metal fusion, and still do sometimes, but I tend to leave it alone these days!

Hmm

I don't know what to say. It's awfully cliche and overdone, but for whatever reason I still like it.

As for it as a whole... Oh wait, it's only 50 seconds. Your biggest problem is that it needs to be longer. What you have is okay for an intro, but it's so damn unoriginal if you wanted a higher score you'd have to tack on something to the end of it.

JD14 responds:

Haha, I see what you mean, definitely. I actually was going to submit the other version of this, which was just a loop, yesterday, but I got lazy and I have other reasons. This is meant to be a loop but this does not loop, so I suppose a 6 is a generous score. Thanks for the review, I have already taken this into consideration. :3

I Lol'd

Just funny. The voices are absolutely ridiculous. I don't think there's something I could use this in, though.

Once upon a time, water taught itself how to feel pain.
