Does Ava RPG have a saving feature?
I'm afraid not. This was something I considered, but as I balanced the majority of the game almost a year after I coded the initial framework, I found going back to the code was just a mess and ultimately scrapped the save feature. There are just too many variables and I can't remember them all. I wasn't even aware people would be engaged enough in the game to want to come back to it later.
If you download the PSP version, putting your PSP into sleep mode is the easiest way to pause gameplay and come back to it later. Obviously that won't help you get the medals though.
what is exactly PSP on new grounds a small screen the size of the play station portable?
... What?
PSP screen size is 480x272.

Woah, that's a lot of time and work! I gave it a try yesterday, but didn't end up playing for long. First battle and I stumble upon a foe that I just can't seem to kill, so... I moved on to easier games. Seems like a shame to not spend some more effort learning the controls on a project that took so long though... I like the innovative idea of the battles, but at the same time I kinda wish it followed the old traditional attack methods as other games so I knew what I was doing.

It's a wacky battle system. The spiritual precursor to Ava RPG (called Battle Your Friends) is a much more digestible way to learn the basics of the combat system.
As I've already stated, the battle system is the way it is because of its intended platform. If I had known about Megaman Battle Network before making this game, I might have mimicked that combat system.
